SOLAR PANELS IN ESTAMP SPAIN
Estamp is committed to self-supply of energy, and has recently installed photovoltaic panels on the roof of the Estamp Spain (Terrassa plant).
This action is part of the company’s sustainability initiatives to contribute to SDG 13 Climate Action. Which consists of taking urgent action to combat climate change and its effects, in order to improve energy efficiency and decarbonization activities.
The total installed power will be 198 kWp and the energy that is estimated to be generated per year is 273,100 kWh/year, of which 217,450 kWh will be used for self-consumption. This represents 21.7% of our annual consumption (1,000,950 kWh).
The aim is to carry out the installation of solar panels in the rest of our plants, extending the benefits of clean energy across all our operations. By implementing solar energy solutions at multiple locations, we strive to minimize our environmental impact on a larger scale.
The installation of solar panels at our plants not only ensures sustainable energy, but also promotes energy independence and resilience. Producing clean energy internally reduces dependence on electricity grids, reducing the risks associated with cost fluctuations and supply disruptions. In addition, this expansion demonstrates environmental leadership, inspiring others to adopt renewable initiatives and drive positive change across the industry.
