Time to reflect. Time to act

A key date to reflect and act on one of the greatest challenges of our time.

Climate change refers to long-term alterations in the planet’s climate. Although partly due to natural causes, human activity has accelerated this process over the last century, generating impacts that directly affect ecosystems, the economy, and people’s health.

Its effects are not the same in all regions. In areas such as the Mediterranean, rising temperatures and heat waves pose a growing threat, especially for the elderly and those with chronic illnesses. In addition, global warming favors the spread of insect-borne diseases such as dengue fever and West Nile virus.

Given this reality, collective action is more urgent than ever. The United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 13 – Climate Action calls on us to take decisive action to mitigate its effects and build a more sustainable model.

At Neklar, we have been part of the United Nations Global Compact since 2022, and we embrace our role as a responsible company committed to the SDGs.

As part of our sustainability strategy, we work with a clear roadmap for reducing our carbon footprint, implementing specific measures to reduce our CO₂ emissions and move towards more efficient and environmentally friendly operations.

Climate change affects us all, but we can also all be part of the solution. With small daily actions and a conscious attitude, we are contributing to a fairer and more livable future for the next generations.
