NEKLAR FINALIZES KEY PROJECT WITH EURECAT IN NOVEL BIPOLAR PLATE TECHNOLOGY
Neklar and EURECAT successfully completed the FormPlate project.
FormPlate signifies a milestone in Neklar’s goal to develop clean mobility solutions. Thorough investigations in the fields of science materials, surface technologies, corrosion resistance, fluid dynamics, manufacturing technologies, computer simulations, etc. have gained Neklar very valuable knowledge in the development and design of bipolar plates for fuel cells.
Novel surface coatings have been developed and tested. Computer simulations have been used to develop a highly efficient cell. And manufacturing technologies have been tried and assessed to prototype the bipolar plates used in the cell tested by Eurecat.
The project will allow Neklar to develop, design and manufacture fuel cell bipolar plates with optimized efficiency, cost and durability.
Project funded by the Ministry of Science and Innovation under the call for R&D Projects in Public-Private Collaboration.
