Last Wednesday 11 March, Estamp participated in a morning MetallVallès event dedicated to the metalworking sector. It was organised by Sabadell city council and took place in the Can Roqueta business centre in Sabadell (Barcelona, Spain).
MetallVallès is an initiative funded by the Barcelona Provincial Council within the “Jobs in local Industry” programme aimed at improving access to jobs in industrial sectors with strong roots in the territory and giving support to companies with good opportunities for growth and potential for providing good quality jobs. The objective of MetalVallès is to promote jobs and competitiveness in the metallurgical sector given the importance of this sector for the territory.
Estamp was awarded a diploma for playing an active role in this programme. The company’s tool department has run a course providing skills experience entitled “Basic metal skills for women” and it has drawn up a dictionary of cross-cutting competences for lathe operators, milling machine operators, tool makers, fitters and welders.
We also participated in the “Network Talent MetallVallès” event that enabled us to meet and speak directly to qualified researchers specializing in occupation in the metalworking industry.
